Guidelines for late bus use by Middle and High School students (effective 1/10/2012)

  • All late bus riders must have a pass issued by the school office.
  • There must be room on the bus so all students can be appropriately seated.
  • First priority is given to students who have remained after school for academic reasons.
  • Second is given to students who remained after school under the supervision and permission of a faculty member or extracurricular supervisor/coach, etc.
  • A second priority rider may ride the late bus under the following conditions:
    • All first priority students have been accommodated on the late bus.
    • The student lives along the route the bus would take whether he/she was on the bus or not. OR
    • The student lives close enough to the planned route that dropping him off would not add substantially to the time of the route. AND
    • There is no additional cost to the District for the route.
  • Riding the late bus is a privilege.  All behavior problems will result in exclusion from the late bus for a period of time determined by the principal.

Parent Advisory Group

All parents of Middle School students are welcome to participate in the Principal's Parent Advisory Group.  This is a great opportunity to provide input in continuing to guide our school in the direction to create a Great School. You will also be involved in finding out about the latest school improvement issues facing our school. We are scheduled to meet every fourth Monday of the month at 6 p.m. in the Middle School/High School Library. Please contact Sandra Henke in the Middle School office if you wish to be included.
